Liver in Systemic Disease
2023, MacSween's Pathology of the Liver, Eighth EditionAA amyloidosis secondary to adult onset Still's disease: About 19 cases
2020, Seminars in Arthritis and RheumatismCitation Excerpt :Fifty-seven articles were selected following our 2 searches (Fig. 1). Forty-five were used to assess AAA prevalence [1,9–52]. Sixteen [12,15,22,32,53–64] were used for the descriptive analysis of patients with AOSD and AAA, including 4 articles selected for the prevalence study and 12 individual case reports.

2016, Seminars in Arthritis and RheumatismAdult onset still's disease (AOSD) in the era of biologic therapies: Dichotomous view for cytokine and clinical expressions
2014, Autoimmunity ReviewsCitation Excerpt :Herein, reviewing literature and relying on our experience in a series of patients, we postulate that different cytokine patterns underlie contrasting clinical expressions in AOSD patients, as well as responses to targeted therapies. AOSD is a rare and recently described condition in which we lack robust epidemiological studies since most observations have been reported in small series [4–12]. Nonetheless, the disease seems to occur among all ethnic groups, with a prevalence ranging from 0.1 to 1 per 100,000 depending on the population [13–17].
